I have a few sessions from last Fall that I have been meaning to blog, but every time I sit down to write one I end up getting stuck. I get writer's block as I attempt to put into words how lovely the session was. I also get photographer's block (not a thing, but I'm making a thing) as I try to choose which photos to include in the post. There are just too many I want to share! All that leaves me with... you guessed it, not blog post. Which is quite the opposite from sharing ALL THE PHOTOS as I am sharing none of the photos. Boo. That just won't do. So here I am, plowing through my writer's block and photographer's block to produce this here little post... and all the posts yet to come (because they will come!).
This session took place on one of the gorgeous fall days we had just a few months ago. I met up with Tracy, Clint, and Caden a few days after Caden celebrated his 7th birthday. Birthdays are a great time to get annual family photos! They are great marker in a child's life and are so fun to look back on years from now to see just how little they once were.
We had a great time soaking up the sun and enjoying the trees at Hoyt Arboretum in Portland. I love shooting at the Arboretum. There is lots of variety in types of trees and there is always something in bloom or showing off some lovely fall foliage. As a Portland family photographer there are few things I enjoy as much as getting outdoors and enjoying some time in the woods! No matter what the time of year the forest always makes an excellent backdrop for lifestyle family photos.
As you can see, we had a lot of fun exploring and Caden's love for his mom and dad is pretty much the best thing ever, along with their love for him too, of course!
Sometimes you just have to get a little silly!
