Kim & Paul at Browns Point -Tacoma Maternity Photographer-
All week leading up to this session Kim (the mom-to-be) and I were checking the weather report by the hour. This maternity session took place up in Tacoma... which means I was traveling... which means that rescheduling due to weather is not exactly easy. The outlook didn't look good. Rain. Rain. And then some more rain. I had backup locations in mind, but I really wanted to get down to the Sound and take advantage of the beautiful views from Browns Point Lighthouse Park. That park holds a soft spot in my heart, because for three years we lived in an apartment by Point Defiance that looked out over Commencement Bay and, you guessed it, the lighthouse (man, I loved that apartment!).
Anyway, as the week progressed the change of rain started to slowly creep down. As the weekend rolled around the chance of rain in the evening was down to only 20%, now those are odds I can handle. As it turned out, we had gorgeous weather all day! The rain was nice enough to hold off until Sunday.
Baby girl is due to arrive early August. I'm crossing my fingers that she will make her grand appearance on the first (my birthday) and then Kim and Paul will feel obligated to name her after me, right? RIGHT?!
I had a great time hanging out with you, Kim & Paul (but that is a given, since I always like hanging out with you two). Can't wait to meet your daughter!
